Tell us about...... 11

I don't suppose I'm alone in admitting that over the years I've used a variety of different pens in my organiser.

What about you?

What is your favourite pen or pencil that you use regularly in your organiser?

Tell us in the comments below.

  1. My choice, which I owe to a Flickr post by J Mark Bertrand, would be the Caran d'Ache Ecridor Retro. As well as being very nice, these are also slim enough to fit in the pen loops of the older models.
Sometimes I also carry a mini ballpoint from this range.

  2. Despite the fact of owning several mini ball point pens, the long term used pen tag goes to my Kyocera KM-15 Cera Professional Liner in silver. That's my choice for having three writing choices (black, red, pencil) in one pen, that I carry in my FF compacts or personal, depending on which organizer I currently use.

  3. A few weeks ago I would have said that I always revert to my Kaweko Sport fountain pen but I've recently discovered disposable fountain pens and love my Pentel. I'm literally just about to order a box of 12 from Amazon so that I don't run out!!

  4. I've used a variety of pens in the past, but have settled down to using my Kaweco Sport fountain pen. With a bit of persuasion, it now fits nicely in the pen loop on my Winchester.

  5. My favorite pen is the Pilot Frixion Ball Clicker Gel Pens. These pens are eraseable as I sometimes make mistakes in my planner. Also, the ink is dark because they are gel pens.

  6. I use one of my slimline personals for my organizer, and as I carry it in a jacket pocket, a pen in a penloop makes it awkward for sliding the organizer in and out. So my pen choices are whatever pen with a clip I have in my shirt pocket (Pilot Metropolitan or Lamy Safari) plus the Kaweco Sport on my trouser pocket. I usually have a pen case in my briefcase, if I want a different pen. I find the Lamy, even with an EF nib, not fine enough for my vertical WO2P layout, however, but the Pilot Metropolitan or Kaweco work well.

There is one non-fountain pen that I cannot get out of my life. It is a ceramic ball pen marketed my a tool company, Lee Valley. It has just the right friction with the paper and produces a clean solid line. http://www.leevalley.com/en/gifts/page.aspx?p=72239&cat=4,64483

  7. Ohto Poche fountain pen in Leopard is my permanent, go-to writing instrument. I love the small, slender size. It is accompanied by the Zebra Techo TS-3 pencil for the same reasons. Both write well. My backup is the Sharpie Pen in Fine. I used it for years and years until the Ohto Poche.

Lately I have also been using the Pilot Metropolitan Pop. The pen colors are fun and bright.

  8. Four colour Bic. Been using one for five years and have a general colour coding. I wouldn't use it for anything longhand, as the barrel isn't the most ergonomic, but for functional use of my Filofax I'm very happy with it.
